COMPANY HISTORY

Mike Dyson, President and Founder of Synergyn started as a distributor. In November 1978 he distributed products from his warehouse in Cabot, Arkansas. Mike was the only sales representative for PME Inc., with wife Sandra by his side running the office. By the end of their first year, twenty salespeople had come on board to work over 10 states.

Using his Chemical Engineering background, Mike proceeded to purchase and operate his first manufacturing plant in 1980. The Mission Statement was "To provide a top quality product, with high profile customer service", resulting in steady growth of the business. The next seven years of growth opened the eyes of some of the competition, and garnered the interest of British owned, Century Oil Ltd. They were looking to buy a blending facility with formulations that would enhance their international product line. As part of the sale Mike became VP of Sales in the United States. He remained in that position until August 1989.

Not satisfied Century Oil was headed in a positive direction, Mike offered to repurchase the Midwest portions of PME Inc. At that point Synergyn was born and continues to grow today. Mike moved the blending facility to Durant, Oklahoma. To continue in line with the Mission Statement, the Oklahoma facility fulfilled many needs for continued growth. The new facility offered needed space, to house the 20,000,000 gallon per year blending equipment, as well as plenty of room for expansion. Durant, being Mike Dyson’s hometown, was a sound business decision based on community support and tax breaks for new business moving to Oklahoma. Work on the project began in October of 1993. The doors were opened on March 11,1994.

Kevin Kusch, Head Chemist, maintains Quality Control and formulates the new products for our rapidly growing and changing markets. Today, Synergyn supplies products to over 100 Distributors and some 14,000 direct "end user" accounts.

From the very beginning the entire Dyson family has contributed to the prosperity of Synergyn, and will continue to be a part of the growth of "The most advanced lubricants in the world."
